BTO Flats to be Built in 2016

Mr Gan Thiam Poh asked the Minister for National Development what will be the total number of BTO flats to be built next year with a breakdown of these flats by flat types.

Mr Khaw Boon Wan: After a significant ramp up in BTO supply, we have cleared the first-timer demand backlog, and the resale market is moderating nicely. This has allowed us to start tapering our BTO supply last year. This year, we have settled on a BTO supply of about 15,000 flats. We are studying the BTO supply for 2016 and will announce the details when ready.
