Assoc Prof Fatimah Lateef asked the Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports if he will provide an update on Singapore's decision to accede to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Mr Chan Chun Sing: Singapore intends to sign to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2012. We have recently announced our second Enabling Masterplan 2012-2016. It builds on the first Enabling Masterplan and will put us in good stead for the accession.
