Ms Sylvia Lim asked the Minister for Manpower with regard to the Sarawakians accused of committing violent theft in Kallang, (a) whether each of them was in Singapore on a valid work permit, and if so, for what occupations; and (b) how long they had been working in Singapore before the incidents.
Mr Gan Kim Yong: The eight Sarawakians involved in the violent robbery at the Kallang area were all issued with valid work permits.
