Ms Sylvia Lim asked the Minister for Health what is the median and average bill sizes for polyclinics in 2009, after taking into account subsidies.
Mr Khaw Boon Wan: Based on the data in FY 2008, the average bill sizes in the polyclinics were $16 for an acute condition, requiring four types of medication, and $48 for a chronic condition requiring three months of medication. The corresponding median bill sizes were $14 and $36 respectively, based on the data supplied by the NHG Cluster.
