Mr Yip Hon Weng asked the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs (a) what was the basis for selecting the 11 locations for the installation of new Traffic Violation Enforcement Cameras since September 2025; and (b) whether more cameras will be deployed to other high-risk areas such as school zones, to enhance road safety.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Traffic Police installs the mobile traffic violation enforcement cameras at locations with a higher risk of accidents and violations. They may redeploy these cameras elsewhere, or deploy additional cameras, depending on the prevailing risk assessment.
