Assoc Prof Jamus Jerome Lim asked the Minister for Health with the relaxation of the five-visitors-per-day rule, whether there are any plans to allow for special dispensation for immediate family members to visit COVID-19 patients for their final farewell.
Mr Ong Ye Kung: COVID-19 infected patients who are critically ill are allowed visits by family members, but with limits, to minimise the risk of infections spreading in hospitals. As the pandemic situation continues to improve, the visiting rules will be reviewed.
