Mr Gerald Giam Yean Song asked the Prime Minister whether there has been any reconsideration of lowering the voting age to 18 years.

Mr Chan Chun Sing (for the Prime Minister): The considerations for keeping our voting age at 21 have not changed. The replies to questions from Dr Lim Wee Kiak and Ms He Ting Ru that I gave in this House in August 2019 and October 2021 respectively still stand.
