Availability of Student Care Places

Mr Yee Jenn Jong asked the Minister for Social and Family Development how does the Ministry track the availability of student care places in the industry and whether it will track and publish the provision of student care places as one of its key performance indicators in the Government's Budget Book on revenue and expenditure estimates.

Mr Chan Chun Sing: MSF registers Student Care Centres (SCCs) which administer the ComCare Student Care Subsidies. MSF tracks the availability of student care places at these centres to gauge demand and take-up rate. We will look into how to make the information more widely available for parents who are looking for available places for their children.
