Assoc Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim asked the Minister for National Development over the last one year, what is the number of Singaporeans who were not successful in getting an HDB Loan Eligibility letter after booking their new HDB flats.
Mr Khaw Boon Wan: Between June 2011 and May 2012, there were 21,000 applications to get an HDB Loan Eligibility letter for their new flat. Of this, about 610 or 3% were unsuccessful.
