Mrs Lina Chiam asked the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for the last five years, what is the total amount of stamp fees collected by the Government in respect of property transactions.

The Minister of State for Finance (Mrs Josephine Teo) (for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance): Mr Speaker, Sir, over the five financial years from FY 2006/2007 to FY 2010/2011, the total amount of stamp duty collected in respect of transactions on sales and purchases of properties was $10.87 billion.
