Motorists Jailed for Careless Driving since 2019 Amendment to Road Traffic Act

Mr Lim Biow Chuan asked the Minister for Home Affairs how many motorists have been jailed for careless driving since the Road Traffic Act was amended in 2019.
Mr K Shanmugam: The amendments to the Road Traffic Act came into force on 1 November 2019. As at August 2022, 470 motorists have received a jail sentence for committing the offence of careless driving.
