(Appointment of Members):

The Leader of the House (Mr Mah Bow Tan): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,

That this Parliament, pursuant to paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 100, appoints the following Members to fill four vacancies in the Committee of Selection:-

Ms Indranee Rajah

Dr Lam Pin Min

Mr Lim Swee Say

Mr Mah Bow Tan.

Mr Speaker, four Members in the Committee of Selection appointed previously by Parliament on 14th November 2006 have vacated their

positions. These four Members are: Mr Iswaran, Dr Lee Boon Yang, Mr Wong Kan Seng and Mr Matthias Yao. This motion, therefore, seeks Parliament's appointment of four other Members to fill the four vacancies arising as moved.

That this Parliament, in pursuant to paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 100, appoints the following Members of to fill four vacancies in the Committee of Selection:

Dr Lam Pin Min

Mr Lim Swee Say
