Investigation into Vehicular Accidents Upon Request Especially when Parties are Not Cooperating in Insurance Claims Process

Mr Kwek Hian Chuan Henry asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether Traffic Police will investigate, upon request, vehicular accidents without injuries, in case some parties involved in the accidents deliberately choose not to cooperate in the insurance claims process.

Mr K Shanmugam: Police resources are very tight and need to be focused on investigating criminal offences and ensuring law and order. They should not be asked to deal with civil matters like insurance claim disputes where there are no injuries.
