Time Guidelines for Schools to Cease Co-curricular Activities

Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Education whether there are guidelines for schools to cease co-curricular activities by a certain time, to ensure students are able to return home early to rest and to avoid creating noise disturbances to nearby residents.

Mr Chan Chun Sing: Schools have the autonomy to decide the end times for their co-curricular activities and other school programmes. They consider factors, such as the nature of activities, student profiles, student well-being and impact on nearby residents.
