Proportion of Freehold, 999-year and Shorter Lease Landed Properties in Singapore

Mr Leong Mun Wai asked the Minister for Law what current proportion of landed properties in Singapore are (i) freehold (ii) on 999-year leases and (iii) on leases shorter than 999 years.

Mr K Shanmugam: Based on available records as of December 2024, around 73% of landed properties in Singapore are freehold and 14% are on 999-year leases. The remainder are on leases less than 999 years.
