Mr Cai Yinzhou asked the Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health (a) whether the Ministry will consider subsidising (i) Elective Egg Freezing and (ii) Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) procedures for older couples; (b) whether further policies, such as enhanced co-funding for In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), are planned to support the diverse family-planning aspirations of Singaporeans, especially older couples; and (c) if so, what these policies entail.
Mr Ong Ye Kung: The Prime Minister's Office is working with the Ministry of Health to review various fertility health policies, including financing support for Assisted Conception Procedures. More details will be shared when ready.
