Ms Lee Hui Ying asked the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs (a) how many calls have been made on the police hotline to report cases of outrage of modesty in 2025; and (b) what proportion of such calls have resulted in (i) investigations and (ii) convictions.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Police do not track the number of calls made to report specific offences, such as outrage of modesty. However, the Police track the number of reported cases of outrage of modesty, of which there were 1,531 cases in 2025. The Police investigated into all the reported cases. There are some cases which are still under investigation or prosecution.
