Evolving Assessment Frameworks for Institutes of Higher Learning, AI Literacy and Academic Integrity Following Discontinuation of AI-detection Tools

Ms Cassandra Lee asked the Minister for Education given recent announcements by two autonomous universities on discontinuing the use of AI-detection tools due to concerns over their reliability, whether the Ministry will provide further guidance to Institutes of Higher Learning on how assessments should evolve where AI use is permitted, so as to balance the development of AI literacy with assessment rigour and academic integrity.

Mr Desmond Lee: The Ministry of Education will provide an oral answer to this Parliamentary Question (PQ), together with other PQs that have been filed on this topic, at the next available opportunity.
