Pausing HDB Construction Works in Vicinity of Schools during National Examination Days

Mr Shawn Loh asked the Minister for National Development whether the Ministry will consider pausing HDB construction works in the vicinity of schools during national examination days, particularly listening and oral examinations, similar to how the Ministry of Defence pauses RSAF exercises during those periods.

Mr Chee Hong Tat: The Housing and Development Board coordinates with the Ministry of Education and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board on the dates of national examinations and requires contractors to suspend high-noise activities during these examinations.
