Clarification by Acting Minister for Manpower

The following statement was in the reply was given by the Acting Minister for Manpower (Jasmin Lau) during Question Time for Question Nos 1 to 10 at the Sitting on 6 October 2026:

The Acting Minister for Manpower (Ms Jasmin Lau): Of the 4,620 workers retrenched in the second quarter of 2026, over three in four were retrenched due to business re-organisation or restructuring. I wish to make the following factual correction to my statement made at the Sitting of 6 October 2026. My statement should read as follows:
