The Financial Secretary (Mr T. M. Hart): Sir, I beg to move that this Order be discharged and that the Income Tax (Amendment No. 2) Bill be withdrawn.
As hon. Members are aware, Sir, the Government does not now wish to proceed with the suggestion that the personal allowances should be reduced.
The Minister for Education (Mr Chew Swee Kee): I second it.
