The following motion stood in the name of Mr Lim Koon Teck (Paya Lebar)-

That leave be given to introduce a Bill to incorporate the Reverend Mother Superior of the Congregation of Good Shepherd Nuns in Malaya.

Mr Speaker: The Member for Paya Lebar is not here. The notice lapses.

Mr Lim Choon Mong (Serangoon): As the hon. Member is away in England, may I move it on his behalf?

Mr Speaker: No. A notice of a motion in the name of a private Member must be moved by that private Member. The notice therefore lapses and it is up to the hon. Member to give fresh notice.
