The Chief Minister (Dr Lim Yew Hock): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,

That this Assembly, in accordance with paragraph (1) of Standing Order No. 61 of the Standing Orders of the Legislative Assembly, Singapore, appoints the following as members of the Committee of Selection :- Inche Abdul Hamid Bin Haji Jumat (Member for Ulu Bedok). Mr J. M. Jumabhoy (Member for Stamford). Mr Mak Pak Shee (Member for Geylang). Mr Lee Kuan Yew (Member for Tanjong Pagar). Mr Lim Choon Mong (Member for Serangoon).

The Minister for Education (Mr Chew Swee Kee): I second it.

Question put, and agreed to.

Resolved,
