MESSAGES FROM THE YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA (Assents to Bills passed)

Mr Speaker: I have received two messages from His Excellency the Yang di-Pertuan Negara, informing me that His Excellency had, in accordance with the provisions of section 55 (1) of the Singapore (Constitution) Order in Council, 1958, on the days stated, assented to the following Bills:-

21st July, 1959.

(i) Financial Procedure Bill;

(ii) City Council (Suspension and Transfer of Functions) Bill;

(iii) Singapore Legislative Assembly Elections (Amendment No. 2) Bill;

(iv) Control of Rent (Amendment) Bill.

22nd July, 1959.

(i) Promissory Oaths (Amendment) Bill;

(ii) Local Government (Amendment No. 2) Bill.
