The Prime Minister (Mr Lee Kuan Yew): Mr Speaker, Sir, in pursuance of the Assembly resolution passed at our last sitting, we sent the Federation Government a small sum of $10,000, to which I have received a reply from the then Acting Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak, in the following terms:-

`This kind gesture on the part of the people of Singapore to contribute to the Congo Cheer Fund is greatly appreciated by the Federation Government, and I shall he grateful if you would convey this to your Government and the Assembly.'
