[Mr SPEAKER in the Chair]
Mr Speaker: There is a business motion in the name of the Deputy Prime Minister seeking that this Assembly do sit on Saturday and Sunday, that is, tomorrow and the day after. As insufficient notice was given of the motion, before the Deputy Prime Minister can move, he would require my consent and the general assent of Members present. If it is the general assent of Members present that the motion should be moved, then, of course, I will give my consent. Is it the pleasure of hon. Members that the motion be moved?
Some hon. Members: No.
Mr Speaker: The motion cannot be moved.
The Deputy Prime Minister (Dr Toh Chin Chye): So be it.
