Mr Speaker: In accordance with the provisions of paragraph (6) of Standing Order No. 86 and paragraph (5) of Standing Order No. 87, I have for both the Main Estimates and the Development Estimates for 1962 fixed the times on each allotted day at which consideration of the heads of expenditure in respect of which amendments stand on the Order Paper shall, if not previously disposed of, be concluded. Those times will be circulated to Honourable Members and will appear in the Official Report*. I might add that the amount of time requested by Honourable Members exceeds the time available by almost four times, and it has accordingly become necessary to cut the time requested drastically, sometimes by more than three-quarters. It would therefore be necessary for Honourable Members who have given notice of amendments to endeavour to get together to share the time which has been made available for each head of expenditure. It is appreciated, of course, that Budget time or Supply time is Opposition time and they must make the best use of the time available.
