Inche Mohd. Ariff Bin Suradi asked the Deputy Prime Minister if he will ascertain from the respective authority or if he is able to say whether the appointments of General Manager of the Singapore Telephone Board and the Public Utilities Board are on a permanent or contract basis.

Dr Toh Chin Chye: The General Manager of the Singapore Telephone Board is on the permanent establishment and the General Manager of the Public Utilities Board is on contract.
