Dr Tan Eng Liang asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider taking measures to improve the workings and efficiency of the Registry of Companies as the watch-dog and supervisory body under the Companies Act.
The Minister for Finance (Mr Hon Sui Sen): Sir, I am always ready to consider measures to improve the working and efficiency of the Registry of Companies as I am with any other Department in my Ministry. Perhaps the hon. Member would indicate or write to me indicating the deficiencies that he considers should be remedied.
Dr Tan Eng Liang (River Valley): Sir, I shall be happy to supply the Minister with the necessary information.
