The Chairman: At this juncture, perhaps hon. Members would find it convenient to conclude today's consideration of the Estimates of Expenditure in Committee, and resume on Monday, 19th March, when Head 1501-Ministry of Education - can be discussed.
Do I have the general assent of Members that progress in the Committee of Supply be reported now and leave be sought to sit again on Monday, 19th March, 1973?
Hon. Members indicated assent.
Resolved,
"That, notwithstanding Standing Orders, the Committee of Supply do now report progress, and leave be sought for the Committee of Supply to sit again on Monday, 19th March, 1973." - [Mr Hon Sui Sen].
Thereupon Mr Deputy Speaker left the Chair of the Committee and took the Chair of the House.
Mr Hon Sui Sen: Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to report that the Committee of Supply has made further progress on the Main and Development Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year 1st April, 1973, to 31st March, 1974, and ask leave to sit again on Monday, 19th March, 1973.
