Haji Sha'ari Bin Tadin asked the Minister for National Development and Communications what recreational facilities are planned for the residents of Bedok New Town (Neighbourhood I) and when they are expected to be ready.

The Senior Minister of State for National Development (Dr Tan Eng Liang) (for the Minister for National Development and Communications): Mr Speaker, Sir, the recreational facilities for Bedok New Town Neighbourhood I consist of multi-purpose courts, a roller-skating rink, children's playground as well as footpaths and landscaping. These facilities are expected to be ready by early 1978.
