SUPPLEMENTARY SUPPLY (NO. 2) BILL

The Minister for Finance (Mr Hon Sui Sen): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move, "That the Bill be now read a Second time."

The purpose of this Bill is to make provision in accordance with Clause 2 of Article 145 of the Constitution of Singapore for additional expenditure in excess of the provision authorised by the Supply Act, 1980. The additional sum has been scheduled as a Supplementary Estimate which has been considered and approved by the House as Command Paper 6 of 1980.
