Mr Speaker: The Prime Minister has indicated to me that he would like to make a Statement in the House now.

With the consent of Mr Speaker and the general assent of Members present, Question put, and agreed to.

Resolved,

That the Statement be made by the Prime Minister and that the proceedings thereon be exempted at this day's sitting from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1. - [Mr S. Dhanabalan].
