Dr Koh Lip Lin asked the Minister for National Development whether there is any plan to construct a pedestrian overhead bridge across Sembawang Road near Yishun Avenue 5, Blocks 101 and 106, in view of the increasing number of residents crossing the road daily.

Mr Teh Cheang Wan: Sir, there is no plan to construct a pedestrian overhead bridge across Sembawang Road near Yishun Avenue 5, Blocks 101 and 106, due to the narrowness of this stretch of road. Instead, the PWD will be installing a pedestrian signal crossing there. The work is expected to be completed by October 1985.
