[Mr Speaker in the Chair]

Mr Speaker: I would like to inform honourable Members that on 9th October, 1986, I received a complaint from the Leader of the House, under Standing Order 95(7)(c), against the Member for Anson for breach of Parliamentary privilege in respect of five newsletters addressed to the residents of Anson, signed by him, purporting to report on the daily proceedings of the Committee of Privileges meetings from 8th to the 12th of September 1986. I am satisfied that the matter complained of prime facie affects the privileges of Parliament and that it has been raised at the earliest opportunity, and I have referred the matter to the Committee of Privileges. I shall ask the Clerk to circulate to Members in the course of the day copies of the complaint.
