Mr Abdullah Tarmugi asked the Acting Minister for Health what are his Ministry's plans for the site and buildings of the former St Andrew's Orthopaedic Hospital at Tay Lian Teck Road.
The Acting Minister for Health (Mr Yeo Cheow Tong): Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, the land and buildings of the former St Andrew's Hospital at Tay Lian Teck Road belong to the St Andrew's Mission. With the closure of St Andrew's Hospital, the land and buildings have been returned to the Mission.
Mr Abdullah Tarmugi (Siglap): Sir, may I ask the Minister whether St. Andrew's Mission would have to get the Ministry's permission if the land and buildings were to be developed into another medical facility?
Mr Yeo Cheow Tong: The answer is no.
