Dr Lee Siew-Choh asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the partly Government owned companies in which the Government has given up its shareholding and the amount received in each case.

BG George Yong-Boon Yeo (for the Minister for Finance): Mr Speaker, Sir, from November 1985 to January 1989, the Government has divested its shareholdings in 24 first and second tier companies which were partly Government-owned. Of the 24 companies, 17 were fully privatized and 7 partially privatized.
