BUONA VISTA MRT STATION(Provision of covered bicycle park)

Encik Abbas Abu Amin asked the Minister for National Development if he will consider providing a covered bicycle park at the Buona Vista MRT Station.

The Minister of State for National Development (Mr Peter Sung) (for the Minister for National Development): Mr Speaker, Sir, whenever possible, the Public Works Department (PWD) will provide bicycle parks under MRT structures.

In the case of Buona Vista MRT station, the space beneath the elevated structure is not available and PWD has provided for a bicycle park in the open space between the station and the main road.

I will ask PWD to look into the possibility of providing sheds for the bicycles.
