Mr Teo Chong Tee asked the Acting Minister for National Development whether the flats and shophouses at Changi Village Road will be offered for sale to sitting tenants.

The Acting Minister for National Development (Mr Lim Hng Kiang): Mr Speaker, Sir, my Ministry has not finalised its plans regarding the rental shops and flats at Changi Village. The Development Guide Plan (DGP) for Changi area is still under evaluation. The Guide Plan was assigned to the Singapore Institute of Architects as part of my Ministry's attempt to involve other professional bodies in the drawing up of DGPs. URA is currently evaluating the Singapore Institute of Architect's proposal.

Mr Teo Chong Tee (Changi): Sir, I would like to ask the Minister whether he will enlighten the House as to when the plan will be finalised.

Mr Lim Hng Kiang: The plan will be finalised some time in August, Sir.
