CYANIDE POISONING

Mr Low Thia Khiang asked the Minister for Home Affairs whether the investigation into the cyanide poisoning of National University of Singapore (NUS) lecturers has been completed and whether the NUS has conducted its own investigation.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: Police investigations which have been completed showed that it was not an accidental case. However, the investigations did not disclose sufficient evidence to proceed further against any particular person.

NUS did not conduct its own investigation.
