FOREIGN WORKERS LEVY

Mr Low Thia Khiang asked the Minister for Labour what were the amounts collected in respect of (i) foreign workers levy for 1995 and (ii) foreign domestic workers levy for each of the years from 1992 to 1995.

Dr Lee Boon Yang: The foreign worker levy collected in the calendar year 1995, including those collected for foreign domestic workers, was $1.5 billion. My Ministry does not have the breakdown for the domestic worker levy.
