The Leader of the House (Mr Wong Kan Seng): Mr Speaker, Sir, before I move the motion to adjourn Parliament, on behalf of Members here, I would like to thank you very much for your patience and indulgence in listening to more than 40 hours of speeches during the last nine days. I know some Members were not able to move their amendments because of the time factor, but this year we have actually allowed for a lot more time for Members to move their cuts. For those who were unable to do so, perhaps one way is for them to file a Question and I think my colleagues will be very pleased to answer their questions.
Mr Speaker: I thank the Leader for his kind words, and if hon. Members would now bear with me, so that I can have my chance to say something. These have been long days for us with our sittings spread over the past three weeks. But I think we can go away satisfied that we have completed our work. I think, with few exceptions, all who had wanted to say something have had their say. Looking around me and seeing so many smiling happy faces, I can see that you have all enjoyed yourselves tremendously at this Budget sitting. So if it makes you any happier, the good news I have for you is that we will be doing this all over again in about six months' time. Thank you.
