Mr Low Thia Khiang asked the Minister for Finance whether the Government and Government-linked companies have invested in any hedge fund and, if so, whether he will disclose details of such investments.

Dr Richard Hu Tsu Tau: Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), which manages the Government's reserves, has not invested Government's reserves in any hedge fund.

The Government-linked companies (GLCs) make their own decisions on the investment of their surplus funds. They do not report their investments to the Ministry of Finance.
