The Leader of the House (Mr Wong Kan Seng): Mr Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,
That, notwithstanding the Standing Orders, the proceedings on the Estimates for FY 1999/2000 on 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th March 1999, be continued beyond 4.30 pm, and be exempted from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1 until 6.15 pm on each day.
This is because many MPs have filed amendments to be moved in the Committee of Supply and we wish to give them as much time as possible.
Resolved,
That, notwithstanding the Standing Orders, the proceedings on the Estimates for FY 1999/2000 on 10th, 11th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th March 1999, be continued beyond 4.30 pm, and be exempted from the provisions of Standing Order No. 1 until 6.15 pm on each day. - [Mr Wong Kan Seng].
