CAUSEWAY (Replacement with bridge)

The following question stood in the name of Mr Zulkifli Bin Baharudin -

Mr Zulkifli Bin Baharudin: To ask the Minister for National Development whether there was any agreement or decision made with the Malaysian Government to replace the existing causeway with a bridge.

The Minister for National Development (Mr Mah Bow Tan): Mr Speaker, Sir, we received a preliminary proposal from the Malaysian side in August this year to replace the existing Causeway with a bridge. We are studying the proposal and we have not reached any agreement with the Malaysian government on this matter.
