ACCIDENT BETWEEN AN AMBULANCE AND A BUS

Dr Teo Ho Pin asked the Minister for Home Affairs what is the outcome of the police investigation into the accident between a Singapore Civil Defence Force ambulance and a Singapore Bus Service bus along Buona Vista Flyover on

28 November 2000 which resulted in the death of 2 persons.

Mr Wong Kan Seng: Let me assure the House that Police has conducted a thorough investigation into the accident. Investigations have taken some time because of lack of eyewitness accounts. A Coroner's Inquiry has been fixed on 2nd August 2001 to determine the cause of the accident. It is therefore inappropriate to discuss the outcome of Police's investigations at this point in time.
