CIVIL LIST:

(Motion): 5.50 pm

The Second Minister for Finance (Mr Raymond Lim Siang Keat): Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to move,

That this Parliament, pursuant to section 7 of the Civil List and Pension Act (Chapter 44), resolves that the Schedule to that Act be varied by deleting the figure "$2,392,300" in the second column and substituting for it the figure "$2,507,200".

Sir, I propose an additional provision of $114,900 be supported for the Privy Purse under Class I Expenditure for FY05 in view of higher projected bonuses. This will increase the Class I expenditure for FY05 to $2,627,800.

It is therefore necessary to vary the provisions in the Schedule to the Civil List and Pension Act (Chapter 44) as indicated in the Motion before the House.

Sir, I beg to move.
