Mr Leon Perera asked the Minister for Home Affairs (a) whether the Government collects statistics on the number of children who have been separated from their parent(s) because of the parent(s)’ immigration status; and (b) if so, for each year in the past five years, how many children have been separated from their parent(s) because of the parent(s)’ immigration status.

Mr K Shanmugam: The Government does not collect statistics on the number of children separated from their parents due to the latter’s immigration status.
