CLARIFICATION BY THE MINISTER FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, YOUTH AND SPORTS:

The Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports (Dr Vivian Balakrishnan): Mr Speaker, Sir, I would like to make a clarification. On 8th March 2011, during a parliamentary sitting, Ms Denise Phua suggested extending the foreign domestic worker levy concession to include children with disabilities who are older than 12. I would like to clarify and indeed I am pleased to inform Ms Phua that the concession is already available to all persons with disability, regardless of age. This scheme is administered by the Centre for Enabled Living. A clarification to the media was issued on 9th March.
