[Mr Speaker in the Chair]
Mr John Ede asked the Chief Secretary what are the intentions of the Government in respect of the Hindu Marriage Bill.
Mr W. A. C. Goode: Sir, the Report of the Committee appointed to investigate the advisability of legislation to provide for compulsory registration of Hindu marriages and matters connected therewith was received last month and I propose to present that Report to this House shortly. We will then decide whether or not to introduce the Bill.
